Happy Birth Aid

Saving mothers' lives

Women in developing countries face innumerable risks when going through pregnancy and childbirth.

The statistics are devastating: in Afghanistan and Sierra Leone, for example, a mother has a 1-in-6 chance of dying during labour. In contrast, mothers in the USA face a 1-in-2500 chance of fatality, which shows how adequate hygiene, access to medical resources and proper obstetric care can make a huge difference.

While a product cannot change the socio-economic background of the less fortunate mothers, nor make up for the lack of medical assistance, it can definitely help make the process safer and more comfortable for them.
